The programme, which is part of the Horizon 2020 framework programme, finances cross-border and inter-sectoral mobility aimed at research excellence in all areas. MSCA grants are available to all researchers, at any stage of their career, whether they are doctoral candidates or highly experienced researchers.
The main objective of the MSCA is to enable researchers to develop new skills and competencies while offering them good working conditions.
Individual Fellowships, which is one type of MSCA programme, aim at attracting and retaining the best and most experienced researchers in the field of research in Europe by enhancing their creative and innovative potential while diversifying their individual competencies.
The fellowships are in the form of individual allowances allocated by the European Commission.
